Informal educators at the Arizona Science Center in Phoenix participated in a 2-day Family Engineering Training Workshop that prepared them to offer Family Engineering events as one of their science center education programs. Mia Jackson and Sally Greer, both with the Foundation for Family Science & Engineering, introduced participants to Family Engineering’s philosophy of family learning, strategies for successful family events, and loads of great, hands-on engineering activities to use with elementary-aged children and their families. The training culminated in a wonderful Family Engineering Night for member families at the Arizona Science Center.
